SHIFT Retail Lab Magazine Volume 2

One of the classes I took in my final semester at VCU was SHIFT Magazine, a class whose objective was to fully ideate, plan, write, design, produce, publish, and promote a magazine chronicling the events at SHIFT Retail Lab over the past year. SHIFT Retail Lab is a program operated by the da Vinci Center at VCU whose aim is to help grow the business of entrepreneurs, including current students and members of the community. I've been working with them since Spring of 2023, and under the direction of Lloyd Young, KT Schaeffer, and Jessica Collins, our team of 6 students from all different backgrounds created the magazine from scratch. It was a huge effort, but one that resulted in a fantastic product with a successful launch attended by many members of the VCU and Richmond community.

Magazine created in collaboration with Cheyenne Boyd, Jordan Faveri, Miguel Cuevas, Sydney Wilson, and Kayani Jaramillo.

For more work I've done with SHIFT, check out the website of Gewd Botanicals, an all-natural skincare company operated by Malique Middleton, another student associated with SHIFT. I wrote and edited most of the copy on the site.
